The Commons in Lincoln, a continuing care community (CCRC) in Lincoln, Massachusetts, is pleased to announce the appointments of several talented professionals to leadership roles. They include Laurie Roberto, health center executive director; Jeff Cravedi, Assisted Living and Memory care associate executive director; Neal Moses, health center plant operations director; Emily Starr, director of social services for skilled nursing; and Michael Bordonaro, director of admissions for Skilled Nursing.

A Relationship-Based Approach to Resident Care

“Each member of our team believes in a relationship-based approach to deliver meaningful experiences for our residents,” said Campus Executive Director Reynaldo LeBlanc. “We are passionate about understanding our residents in order to individualize our services. Dedication to this approach makes a profound impact in their daily lives across the entire community.”

Strengthening The Commons’ Health Center Team

As the executive director of the health center, Laurie Roberto oversees all aspects of resident care, operations and associate management for the Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. Laurie was previously The Commons’ Skilled Nursing administrator and served as the interim executive director of Assisted Living and Memory Care. Her promotion to this expanded leadership role follows a tenure during which The Commons was recognized for excellence in short-term rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report.

Jeff Cravedi comes to the role of assisted living and memory care associate executive director from The Commons Skilled Nursing neighborhood.  He has worked in the community for nine years in both leadership and clinical positions, bringing a passion for an exceptional customer experience to all he does. His extensive professional background includes experience in both skilled nursing facilities and in physical therapy roles across several different settings.

Joining The Commons’ health center team in March, Neal Moses works as the plant operations director of the health center. Neal has extensive experience in the hospitality field to his leadership role, specifically in hotel property management, but has most recently worked in assisted living communities. In his role, he is responsible for the management and upkeep of the center.

Expanding Social Services and Admissions Support

Emily Starr, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), joined The Commons as the director of social services for skilled nursing this spring. She started her career as a domestic violence advocate, later transitioning to a trauma-focused clinician and finally to a medical social worker. A true champion for others, Emily assists residents and their families as they navigate transitions of care.

As the director of admissions for skilled nursing, Michael Bordonaro, MBA, LPTA, has a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies, an associate’s degree in physical therapy and a Master of Business Administration in health administration. He also has extensive clinical experience as a physical therapy assistant and a clinical liaison and most recently as a case manager. Michael will manage the admissions process, guide prospective residents and their families through their options and work collaboratively with referral sources.
