Role and Responsibilities
As of May 2025, Laurie Roberto serves as the Executive Director of the Health Center at The Commons in Lincoln, where she oversees all aspects of resident care, operations and associate management across Assisted Living, Mind & Memory Care and Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing neighborhoods.
“My focus has always been to ensure that seniors in the area are well informed of the quality, amenities and excellent clinical outcomes available at The Commons,” Laurie shares. “Partnering with local physicians, specialists and hospitals is key to helping residents transition successfully to this extraordinary community.”
Industry Expertise
Laurie has been working in the senior living industry for more than 30 years, all of which have been in the Skilled Nursing space. She has been affiliated for most of her career with continuing care retirement communities like The Commons, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care in addition to Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Laurie originally joined The Commons in 2018 as administrator of Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. She also served as interim executive director of assisted living and mind & memory care before her current role. Under her leadership, The Commons earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report for excellence in short-term rehabilitation.
Passion for Senior Care
Her favorite part of the job is impacting residents and their families, as well as the associates. “That is what keeps me grounded and engaged,” she says.
She says her heart and soul has been dedicated to serving the senior population and their families and she strives to make sure residents make safe transitions of care to the most ideal, personalized setting for them. “Our environment is calming, inviting and an all-around a soothing, therapeutic atmosphere,” she adds. “It is truly uplifting.”
Milestones
A licensed nursing home administrator, Laurie has a bachelor’s degree in health administration and planning and a master’s degree in business administration.

Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
