Angie Maximin

A self-described “passionate and results-driven senior living operator,” Angie Maximin is the executive director of the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods at The Commons.

She worked with Benchmark Senior Living for ten years before taking a job at another senior living community. After less than a year, she returned to Benchmark to start her new role.

Angie’s strengths include team building, leadership development and delivery of exceptional customer service. It is easy for her because she loves her job. One of the things she enjoys most about working with a senior population, she says, is “their wisdom and humor,” and she makes a point of seeking in-person interactions and connections.

She does that by walking through the neighborhoods first thing in the morning, checking in on residents and saying hello, a procedure she repeats at lunch and dinner.

“Most meaningful is the feeling of gratitude I get at the end of the day knowing we have made a positive contribution in our residents’ lives,” she says.

Angie loves spending time with her family when not at work, saying, “Family gatherings, including holiday celebrations, are always a big occasion.” She also enjoys baking and movies, describing herself as a “movie buff.”
