Robin McElligott, recently promoted to plant operations director at The Commons in Lincoln, has been recognized by LeadingAge Massachusetts with the 2025 Emerging Leader Award. The award is given annually by the trade association to an individual who demonstrates “exceptional promise, leadership and commitment to mission.” Robin joined The Commons in 2015 and has modeled all of these qualities and more during her tenure.

“Robin has grown tremendously, from starting at The Commons ten years ago as our concierge to now leading our 28-unit expansion project as plant operations director,” said The Commons in Lincoln Executive Director Reynaldo LeBlanc. “She has a gift for combining exceptional communication skills, operational excellence and a resident-first mindset that sets a new standard for customer service across our community.”

Recognition at LeadingAge 2025 Annual Meeting

Robin was one of four honorees at the LeadingAge 2025 Annual Meeting, held earlier this month in Worcester. The Commons, a LeadingAge member, is currently undergoing a large campus expansion and improvements to both its indoor and outdoor spaces—all of which fall under her oversight. In giving her the award, LeadingAge noted, “Robin McElligott’s collaborative and empathetic leadership has strengthened The Commons’ culture, improved communication and engagement and fostered an environment of trust and respect among residents and staff.”

Commitment to Team Development

“One of the things we value most at The Commons is investing in and developing our team,” said LeBlanc. “Robin has never hesitated to take on new responsibilities and does so with a sense of calm and an incredible work ethic. It is a joy to be part of her journey.”

Personal Reflection

“I enjoy coming to work each day, knowing that I can make a difference in enhancing the lives of our residents,” said Robin. “It’s humbling to be recognized for something that brings me so much personal and professional satisfaction. The credit really goes to the associates and residents who make this work wonderful.”
